Racebook Bet Types

  1. CARIB pays TRACK-ODDS up to a maximum limit as described in the Bet-Types table below.
  2. CARIB intends to offer those bet-types that are offered at the tracks, however in the case that we offer a bet where there is no track payoff, then all wagers for that particular bet type will be deemed NO-ACTION
  3. Data sent to Carib is offered on the races as a service but no guarantee is given that all the race information is accurate.
  4. We will try to close all races at the scheduled post-time. When results are final bets made after the actual off-time are cancelled automatically. All Horse bets are considered TIME BETS and will be cancelled if placed after the Off-Time of the race.
  5. In the event that we pay a race with an incorrect payoff or post-time, we will re-grade all affected wagers to correct errors.
  6. Creating partnerships for the purpose of exceeding a betting limit could result in the bets being cancelled.
SCRATCHES IN DAILY DOUBLES, PICK 3'S, PICK 4'S and PICK 6'S
  1. For Daily Doubles, Pick 3's, Pick 4's and Pick 6's if a horse is scratched in any leg of your wager, you will receive refunds on all combinations with the scratched horse, no matter when the horse was scratched. You will not receive the track favorite or any consolation payouts, but instead, a refund. Carib considers this to be the fairest way to handle combination bets with scratches.
NOTE: Maximum Payoffs may be changed at any time before a wager is placed.

Straight W+P+S
Across the Board
1 Bettor selects 1 runner and effectively makes 3 individual bets, 1 to WIN, 1 to PLACE, and 1 to SHOW. Betting Across the Board can be done on a single ticket, however this creates 3 separate bets so the total amount wagered is 3 times the wager amount. see above see above
Exacta
Perfecta
2 Bettor selects 2 runners which must finish 1st and 2nd in the correct order specified by the bettor $500 for $2 not offered
Exacta Box 2 or more Bettor selects 2 or more runners and effectively makes multiple individual exacta bets, in combinations so that the selected runners may finish 1st and 2nd in any order. Betting an Exacta Box can be done on a single ticket, however this is 2 or more separate exacta bets so the total amount wagered is the product of how many bets multiplied by the individual-bet wager amount

The player may also limit combinations by keying a single runner to a particular finish position (win or place). This means that the keyed runner MUST finish in its keyed position to win. The runners not keyed would be boxed into the remaining un-keyed position.

Example: Player selects runners 4, 6, and 9, and keys the 9 horse to place in the wager setup screen. The resulting bet would be an exacta box, with 1 key. For the bet to win, the 9 horse must finish in the place position, and either of the 4 or 6 must win.

A Wheel bet may be simulated by selecting all runners, then keying a runner to a specific finish position.
$500 for $4 not offered
Quinella 2 Bettor selects 2 runners which must finish 1st and 2nd, but not in any pre-specified order. This is the same wager as an exacta box, however tracks that carry the this wager will pool its action separately from the exacta pool. Unlike the Exacta Box, the Quinella is a single wager so the wager amount is in fact the total wager amount. $500 for $2 $250 for $2
Daily Double 2 Bettor selects both winners of 2 pre-specified races. In general the races will be the first and/or last 2 races at a given track. $500 for $2 $250 for $2
Trifecta
Triple
3 Bettor selects 3 runners which must finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the correct order specified by the bettor. $2000 for $2 $600 for $2
Trifecta Box 3 or more Bettor selects 3 or more runners and effectively makes multiple individual trifecta bets, in combinations so that the selected runners may finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in any order. Betting a Trifecta Box can be done on a single ticket, however this creates multiple trifecta bets so the total amount wagered is the product of how many bets multiplied by the individual wager amount

The player may also limit combinations by keying a single runner to a particular finish position (win, place, or show). This means that the keyed runners MUST finish in their keyed position to win. The runners not keyed would be boxed into the remaining un-keyed positions.

Example: Player selects runners 2, 4, 7, and 9, and keys the 4 horse to win and the 9 horse to place in the wager setup screen. The resulting bet would be a trifecta box, with 2 keys. For the bet to win, the 4 horse must win, the 9 horse must place, and either of the 2 or 7 horse must show.

A Wheel bet may be simulated by selecting all runners, then keying runner(s) to specific finish position(s).
